About
I am a recent Architecture graduate seeking a role as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant. During my studies at Liverpool John Moores University I explored a range of architectural approaches and developed an interest in creating well-considered, innovative designs that respond to both client needs and wider social and environmental challenges.
Through a number of academic projects, I was either presented with or chose to undertake challenging briefs centred on the adaptive reuse of existing buildings. These projects challenged me to work within the constraints of existing structures while finding creative opportunities to transform and reimagine them for new uses. I particularly enjoyed the problem solving aspect of these projects. These experiences have strengthened my ability to think critically, develop context sensitive design solutions, and approach complex architectural challenges with creativity and confidence.
Architecture
I am an aspiring architect with a strong passion for architecture and a clear ambition to become a fully qualified professional. Enthusiastic about developing and expanding architectural knowledge and skills through continuous learning, by embracing new challenges and gaining valuable industry experience that supports my progression towards full professional qualification, I aim to make a meaningful contribution to any prospective employer.
Personal
During my time at university, I have worked on numerous collaborative projects that have strengthened my ability to work effectively within a team. These experiences have involved sharing ideas, discussing different viewpoints, overcoming design challenges, and working together to achieve successful outcomes. Through tutorials, reviews, and project critiques, I have actively contributed feedback to fellow students while also learning from the observations and suggestions of others. This collaborative environment has enhanced my communication, teamwork, and problem solving skills, while reinforcing the value of constructive feedback and continuous improvement within the architectural design process.
Alongside my academic studies, I have always been actively involved in sport and leadership roles, which have helped me develop discipline, teamwork, organisation, and resilience.
I served as President of the University Ski Team, having previously held the positions of Race Captain and Team Treasurer. Before this I trained and competed with Rossendale Slalom Race Squad. These leadership roles have required commitment, organisation, and a disciplined training regime.
